Hi all was wondering if anyone out there had instructions for changing the water pump on a 25hp 2 stroke 2004 Mercury serial number 0T823006?

I tried to follow the instructions from 2010 that I found in a search:
http://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...77798-25hp-2-stroke-mercury-water-pump-change

I was stopped at the first step because I cannot find a way to remove the "air resonator" off the front of the carb to get to the starter bolts.
I can't get a wrench or socket in between the housing to remove the bolts. Nor do I know what size to use.

Its a 8 MM and you need one of the sockets with the swivel built in. Or you can take a drimmal and cut out a bit in the front, thats what i did on mine.

Thanks,
I tried all of the smallest sockets I and a neighbor had but the area is too small.

I was thinking about cutting out some of the front but didn't want to do something drastic until last resort.
I thought of possibly cutting notches in the bolts for a standard screw driver that might fit into the space.

I finally got to the water pump and it is missing pieces comared to the 99157T2 water pump kit the dealer sold me.
I've attached a photo.

- Under the impellar there are four small O rings surrounded by a larger one. Where do these go?
- On the bottom right there are four bolts or nuts? Where do these go?

Thanks,
