Mariner model year

I just bought a jon boat with a 25 hp mariner motor and don't know what year it is. it is a 25 cm with the numbers 695 s 002303. Never had a mariner before I heard that these models were built by Yamaha, is that right? Are these hard to find parts for ? Do these motors have a good reputation? Thanks in advance for any help.
