You need to make sure you not only get a flywheel that "fits" but it also has to be the same amp rating as your stator. There are 9 amp, 16 amp, and 40 amp mercury flywheels that will bolt onto your motor. But you need to match it to your stator or you will have issues. If you have a 9 amp stator and flywheel now, you may think about going ahead and upgrading to 16 amp stator and flywheel (and rectifier), depending on how old your current stator is and if its in need of replacement anyways...
