Vibration

I recently bought a rebuilt 2005, 150 Optimax. It runs strong, however at 1600-1800 rpm's has a significant vibration, otherwise runs excellent. I have tried a new different pitch prop. to no avail. any thoughts ???

Hi det, starting with the obvious, check compression and spark across all cylinders. That will identify the most obvious reasons.

Check run out of prop shaft. May/may not be visible to tha eye........

WOW !!!! Only two responses to this question. Thanks for your input, think it's time to take it back to dealer for a closer look. Just can't figure out why vibration is so significant at 1800 rpm !!
