Looking to buy 1986 50hp Mariner

Is this motor still well supported for buying parts? I been told you pay for the motor when you buy a boat and I do not want to buy a motor that can not be maintained or rebuilt. This motor is 28 years old so it may just have the basic tune-up parts available.

If it is the inline 4 cylinder then all basic maintenance parts are available from factory or after market.----Same motor as a MERCURY.
