I have a 2001 Merc 2 stroke it is having trouble shifting into reverse. I have disconnected the cables and they are moving freely. When i try to **** by hand on the motor it slides easily into forward back into neutral but it will not go into reverse? i put a good amount of pressure on it but it feels locked in place? any thoughts?
