I have an '04 Merc 225 EFI, 4-Stroke made in Japan. New motor to me, working on dropping the lower unit to inspect and service the water pump ... but must be missing something as it's stuck.
I've removed 6 bolts down each side, removed the trim tab and bolt from underneath inside that cavity (now for a total of 8). The parts diagram is not clear on where the bolts are, but it states that there are 7 of the bolts that came out of the sides of the lower unit (9 bolts total). Where is the last one hiding?? Must be overlooking something ...
