50 HP Mecury, powerpack voltage drop?

I watched a video on youtube that checked the voltage from the stator side of the powerpack (DVA 295 volts) versus voltage to the coils from the powerpack (DVA 240 volts). My actual voltage from the stator side of the powerpack (DVA 295 volts) BUT the voltage to the coils from the powerpack (DVA 160 +/- volts for all four cylinders). Is this voltage drop normal or is the powerpack bad? The powerpack and coils are new, but the stator is about 10 years old. The stator red to red/white wires requires 25-100 DVA volts. I actually got a peak reading of 150 DVA volts. Could this voltage surge have damaged my new powerpack? The symptoms of my 50 HP 4 cylinder Mercury has been that full throttle only produces half power. The compression on all four cylinders are between 125-130 psi and I'm getting spark on all four cylinders. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
