I recently purchased a procraft boat that has a 1989 Mariner 115HP L4 engine on it, overall the engine doesn't look to have much wear on it boat was well cared for and kept under cover. The motor blew up on the previous owner so I picked the boat up for a decent price as I had my own Mercury 115 TOP to but on it anyway.
My question is whats this motor worth as a parts motor? There is a hole in the side of the powerhead so I know it's shot, everything else is in good working order and in really good shape as I said boat was maintained well. I would really prefer to sell the whole motor as opposed to selling it piece by piece although I think I may be able to make more money that way.
