Can a 1999 Mercury 60hp 3 cyl 2stroke oil injection be run with a 50/1 fuel/oil mix ?

I recently bought a 1999 Mercury 60hp 3 cyl 2 stroke motor for my 16ft boat. The motor had very low hours and runs good. I'm concerned that the alarm only warns you if the motor is overheating or the oil tank is running low, not if the oil pressure is low. Can this motor be used as a regular 2 stroke running with a 50/1 fuel/oil mix instead of using the oil injection? I am new to Mercury, always had Johnson before. Thanks for any posts.

There is no oil pressure on your engine as the fuel is mixed with the oil prior to the fuel pump.

What is the s/n of your engine and I can send you the diagrams.

Maybe you didn't understand my question. Can I bypass the oil injection and run it like a regular 2 stroke without the oil injection?
