1998 Mercury 15 HP Elec with Remote

For the life of me I can not remember where to hook up the battery to my 1998 15 HP with Remote/Elec .
Serial # is OG13896

I have the 8 pin control wiring plugged in, but I think I need to hook the motor up to the battery first.
I don't have the manual anymore and I just don't see where the + and - connections hook-up.
Any diagrams or links would be helpful!

Plus what gauge wire would one use to complete this connection?

Those hook to the battery.

The battery + hooks to the starter solenoid and the battery - hooks to the motor block. I would use at least # 6 fine strand wire for the battery cables, or larger. Here is a link for the wiring of the motor,

Battery cables made for the motor can be bought on most marine web sites or at a local marine dealer. Cheaper and easier than trying to make a set of cables. JMO
