Correct Water Pump Kit 2003 Merc 50hp

So, I'm helping a friend do some service on his outboard and I just wanted to make sure I got the correct water pump for his motor.

2003 Mercury 50HP ELPTO Serial Number OT781497

Is it the sierra 18-3324
or Merc 46-77177A3

I've had the nightmare of getting the wrong kit in the past.

Your s/n comes up as:

MERCURY - ( 50 H.P. (2003 ))
Serial No: 0T781497 Model No: 1050412AD

Parts list for model 1050412AD:

40/50 JET 30 (3 CYLINDER) 2-STROKE - Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, etc. Parts Lookup

You will see the water pump repair kit at the very bottom under Gear Housing(Driveshaft)(1.83:1 Gear Ratio)

46-77177A3 does not come up as being compatible with your engine.
