Hi All,

My new to me boat appears to have a power trim leak. Please find the attached pictures below. Boat passed inspection at the time of sale. I noticed this after I took it out for the first time on the lake this morning. I am guessing its the o-ring at the base of the trim pump, it also appears at some point someone changed the trim pump.

Let me know what you think... also let me know what you think a shop will charge to fix this.

Thanks,

Eric

Re: 2003 Mercury 115 power trim leaking?

One more thing... just looking at how the motor connects, I am not sure how oil can be leaking up toward the bolt holes.... ie... Mariner, Mercury Marine, Force, Chrysler Marine Replacement Power Tilt and Trim Motor 6276 - Arco

I am just trying to see what other oil/grease can be located in that area since the base of the motor is the reservoir. The motor does not leak down and goes up/down without any air noise. I know a drop or two of oil once wet can look like a gusher once mixed with water.... well not really mixed ;) .

Thanks,

Eric
