mariner 60hp 1980 or older made by yamaha i believe

I have a 60h mariner but made by yamaha witch in turn was made in japan, why do i keep finding that ther serial number 675 L 31500 doesnt return any results??????

60 EL 675-30501 - 675-31775 1976 2-Cyl, Japan
