2006 mercury 9.9 oil leak and water in the oil

I need to replace seal # 853707 12 SEAL, Oil on a 2006 mercury 9.9 4 stroke it is located in the intermediate housing where the driveshaft meets the power head would this seal cause water to get on the oil and Vice versa

Nevermind found out I was looking at the crankshaft seal laying in the wrong place
