My question is in regard to the gasket which goes under the base of the water pump. The gasket does not fit well due to a slight protrusion in the metal housing that the pump base rests on (just in front of the forward bolt). The pump base needs an indentation that would match the protrusion and thereby make a snug fit. As it is, the base kind of wobbles. I guess the indentation could occur when the bolts are tightened. Is this the way this part is supposed to work?
