Re: 2006 mercury 15hp electric start question

Your s/n comes up as:

MERCURY - ( 15 H.P. (2006 ))
Serial No: 1B281025 Model No: 1F15203FD

Parts List for model 1F15203FD:

13.5/15/15 BODENSEE (4-STROKE) - Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, etc. Parts Lookup

See conversion kit as 856555A1 CONV KIT-STARTER under Accessories.

This ebay link shows the necessary parts:

Mercury Quicksilver 50 856555A1 4 Stroke Electric Start Boat Conversion Kit | eBay

or you can start searching for individual part numbers, then search online for better prices:

Mercury Quicksilver 50-856555A1 4 Stroke Electric Start Boat Conversion Kit | Great Lakes Skipper

I believe there is more than one model that uses the same starter kit.----Look it all up on say ------mercruiser.com--------Make a list of those motors and wait till a deal on a blown up motor comes along.

You could always keep Googling/ebaying the part number from time to time as you may find it lower someday. Good luck.:)
