Hello all
I have a 1995 50HP Mariner 2 stroke
with an regulator rectifier problem, I noticed that the taco was not working and the battery not charging.
I checked the AC voltage to the rectifier 16 to 19 volt or there about, I then checked output of rectifier and got O volts with the red wires disconnected from the loom and battery voltage @ 12.6 v with the red wires connected to the loom.
My Question is how do I bench test the Regulator rectifier two yellow wires for AC in and two red wires for DC out, one gray wire for Taco.
what should be the ohms reading I should get between the different wires and can I do a diode check on the rectifier in this circuit ?, I do not now I think it would be hard in the circuit with the regulator.
Note rectifier and Regulator all in sealed unit factory OEM
thanks in advance for any help on this
regards Craybash
