Mercury Motor 90ph loses RPM's

I have a 2008 Mercury 90 4 stroke ELPT engine.
It will run fine at 3000 rpm's.
Above that is will loose rpm's and then recover back to what ever rpm's I set it at.
The model number is 1F90413HD

What could be wrong?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

First guess, check your fuel filters.There may be one at the tank, depending on the model, and possibly two in the motor.

That should be a EFI engine and you need to check the filters and fuel pressures..............
