Does anyone know where and how I would or could install a tach on a 1992 75 hp merc$

I'm trying to select a new prop and need a baseline to start from.

What is your engine s/n as there are 3 and 4 cylinder models?

Are you looking for a permanent tach installation or just a hand held one for testing purposes?

it's a 3 cylinder.

Even just a hand held would do for now.

Yes, pretty nippy in the mornings now. Nice week ahead but after that, I think we are out of luck for the next five months.

I have the service manual for your engine which I can send you if you PM me with an email address.

Here is a portable laser tach that I got just to see what they were like and have been amazed at the performance:

TA110: Laser tachometer from General Technologies Corp.

Many people also use the Tiny Tach, though I have not tried it.
