Mariner oil warning module tan & violet wires

Where does the tan and violet wires connect to on engine from the oil warning module for a 1989 Mariner 90HP 3 cylinder outboard

Tan goes to the temperature switch. Violet goes to the piezo buzzer in the control or dash.

Strictly speaking, correct.

Only because the way the buzzer is hooked up. The main function of the violet wire is 'switched 12 volts'. That is, when the key is ON, the violet wire if powered. It does also go to the buzzer as the buzzer is fired by grounding the other wire to it, the tan.
