My 1st Mariner in many years-
Need a water pump kit but numbers are confuseing me-
Mine----1992 Mariner 60hp # OD172888

My search in parts here shows this-

Beginning Serial # 6428681

Ending Serial # D000749

Sierra Complete Kit

Mallory Water Pump Kit, complete

60 6428681 D000749

Does mine fall into these numbers???

Depends on if it has a bigfoot lower unit....
Bigfoot kit is 18-3056
Regular is 18-3214

50/55/60 HP JET 45 - Mercury, Mercruiser, Force, etc. Parts Lookup

Re the question in your first post, your s/n does not fall into those ranges, it will be in the next range up.

The service manual for your engine is P/N: 90-817643R1
