02 mercury 90 hp 2 stroke, tach, volt and fuel gauge issues.

Cruising along and the rpm drops to about half what you were running for just a second and returns, as that happens the volt and fuel gauge drops to zero for about 10-15 seconds then start back working again until it happens all over again. I'm I looking for a loose ground or something else? Any help would be appreciated.

It sure sounds as though you have a bad connection or a bad rectifier on the motor. Check the fuses on the motor and clean the battery connections and all other connections bright and shiny. Also make sure that the wires going under the flywheel are not rubbing against it. JMO

I cleaned both battery cables real good and tightened them up, had it out all weekend with no problems.
