Replacing trim motor 0n 2003 Mercury 115 hp

Do I have to remove the complete trim unit to replace the pump motor ? This is the 2 stroke 4 cylinder outboard. The trim motor P/N is 809885A1-A2. Any help on this would be great. Thanks

it is a simple unit to remove. In the long run it is easier to remove the system. It will make the driveshaft, gasket, four bolts, bonding strap, and fluid fill much easier.
