1965 Kiekhaefer Mercury 90 Hp information

Hello all i have a 90hp old tower of power merc and it runs like a banshee on my 16ft bass boat..... just wondering some more information about it as in torque and hp ratings or anything else someone might know about it......thanks tony

It's a Merc 90 HP TOP and has enough torque. Torque ratings usually aren't published. It moves your boat and sounds like you are happy with it.

Anything specific?

Very happy with the engine as of now are they known to be reliable engines? any known problems with them that manual tells me almost everything i was looking for ..... what do you guys recommend for plugs to put in it? thanks again tony

Use Champion J4C spark plugs (stock number 825).

Mercury originally specified a J4J plug for the early-Sixties 90-cubic-inch Inlines and the J4C is the updated replacement.
