1996 200 Mercury Saltwater Series EFI. If I'm using my boat under a current or waves in the gulf it is almost impossible to keep the motor at 3,000 rpms. It will decrease to an idle with out me doing anything with shifter. I'm really confused as to how to keep the engine consist in rpms. Its working me to death to stay at a good speed.
