Engin Mercury optimax does not exceed 4500

Hi everybody,
My name is Petru and i'm French. I live in Corsica.
(Sorry, my english is not very understandable so Thank You Reverso.com :blue: )

I own a engine : Mercury Optimax
Year : 1999 / 225 CV

My engine was running before, he climbed to 5500 rpm !!!
Today the engine does not exceed 4500 RPM.:facepalm:

The idle is stable..
The diagnosis is OK :
Ignition : Ok
Injectors : OK
fuel : OK
Oil : OK



So, i have many questions :

Why my engine does not exceed 4500 RPM ?
Where could come this problem?
how to remedy it?

Did you change the prop?

Sounds like a broken reed as these engines are notorious for this. Engine will run and idle fine but you will hear a loud puffing noise from throttle intake.
