25 mercury 2004 oil sensor

I have a 25 hp 2004 bigfoot, and cant find the right oil sensor to fit it, mercury cant give the part # that matches the one that is in the motor they give me the part # 8m0068785 which I purchased already and it is completely different than the one in my motor and it wont physically fit the part is too big, the starter solenoid is in the way? I am disappointed that mercury wont help me with this.

Is the old one # 828019A 1? If so it was superseded by 8m0068785.

Do you have an oil pressure gauge?

yes, but the problem is that part does not fit.
no I don't have a gauge, I just have the alarm, when the alarm sounds the rpm's reduce and engine runs rough.

Is that the piece you need?
