Hello. I am replacing upper housing and impeller on my 1989 mariner magII 150hp. I noticed above the metal housing for the impeller and the top of the housing there was a space that looked like a grommet would go. The old housing got pretty Hot and I couldn't tell if there was a grommet in there or not. It was the only grommet that came in the kit. I did re assemble with that grommet in there and everything went together nicely. Had plenty of pressure in the muffs. I just want to verify this is ok and if that space was for the grommet or not.
