Ok, So I have the common warning beeping that results from the float in the oil tank not working correctly. I know this because I removed the tank, turned it upside down and the beeping stopped. I turned right side up and beeping started again. I removed the sensor, and the beeping stopped. I know oil is being pumped because level in oil tank is going down. (I took precaution and premixed oil in gas tank when I did this check) So here is my question...I always check the level of my oil.....is there any reason why I should not disconnect the sensor....(not cut the horn line...leave that alone) It seems that sensor is only for the level of the float in the oil tank. I just do not want to spend $100 for something that I would not need.....Silly how you can not buy just the float.....
