2001 Mercury Motor rocks front to back

A question for some of you experts. Yesterday of pulling the boat out of the water I noticed that me motor was rocking back and forth just looking at the parts catalog. the play looks to be coming from the top of the swivel pin. does anyone have and ideas

Well, That looks to be the upper motor mounts. If you are sure they are bad, you will want to replace them. It is a big job as you have to pull the gearcase and the powerhead and then remove part of the midsection casting to get at them.
