Help! 1989 inline 115 mercury

Did my usual pre summer work on my merc. Every year for 22 years she's fired right up...not this year! It's turning over fine,getting fuel. The only thing different in my routine this winter was that I left the key ON for about 2 months. Obviously a new battery was installed but did I fry something else in the ignition system leaving the key ON that is keeing it from from firing? I put ON in caps knowing what a dumbs--- I was to do that,no need to tell me that! Vacation starts soon, please send a lifeline!

If you have fuel and it's turning over you need to check to see if it's getting spark. If not could be the coil or the control module.
