Tilt-trim motor Mercury Black Max XR4 150 problem
The seriel number of this boat looks like OB068739 maybe OD068739. Hard to read.
The part number looks like ARCO marine sae 1171 tilt trim motor.
The problem being that the motor is stuck down almost all the way and we think that the tilt trim motor needs removed and rebuilt or replaced.
Could anyone please point me to the correct part and also is there any trick to getting this behemouth motor to lift up manually so we can get the unit out.
Even an large image of this motor away from being mounted would be great because at this point we cannot determine where it may be bolted down in place and how to get to the bolts.. Thanks a lot! Mike
