have a 99 model 50 hp mercury 0g537651 serial # have had problems last year with motor losing power all at once and dieing.would eventually start back and resume. had carbs cleaned and thought problem was fixed. This year ran it for about 5 minutes and same thing happened. After it started back it ran for about another hour and we stopped for a swim. After that it would not crank back.checked for spark on water and had spark.Changed plugs,still wouldnt crank. Brought home ,no spark on any plugs.changed switchbox.syill no spark.Could it be the stator or trigger or something else? Please help.
