I have a 1995 Merc Black max 2.4L 175hp. I have had it run fine at lower RPMs however when I get it going over 35 MPH or about 4,000 RPMs it will slowly die on me. Once this happens I can restart it however you can notice that the motor is not running as it should. Sounds like its not firing on all cylinders. This continued for the rest of the day. Any advice on what might be the problem or where to start would be greatly appreciated.
