I have a 1993 Northwoods Pontoon with a 20hp Mercury and a Quicksilver remote. It has always been hard to move, stiff, but has always worked fine. Tonight when shifting from neutral to forward it sounded like something snapped in the controller. It will now shift just fine, but I have no throttle control, it seems to be stuck on a high-idle. Any suggestions? I really can't afford to drop $300 for a new remote. I'm very handy, mechanically, just looking for some guidance from experience. Thanks.
