Hey guys,

my dad and I tested our small boat this week-end and the only thing that was annoying were the cables.

The problem is that we have a 1989 Mercury 60Hp outboard, with OMC Simplex control.

The boat was originnaly equipped with an OMC/Evinrude outboard (previous owner).

In the simplex control, the cable are twisted to form a hook so they cannot slip out of a small holes.
At the outboard end we need theseremote-control-cable-10-ft-ultraflex-c5-mercury-392-p.jpg

However, the control end of these cables won't fit the Simplex....

Best would be teleflex universal with appropriate ends for both ends?

Thanks guys.

The omc box the throttle is reversed it pushes instead of pulls, if it can be reversed you may can get by with the teleflex cable and ends

Yes we know that, we have to pull to accelerate, but it works.

we are just looking to replace the cables to have a better adjustement.
