1997 Mercury 150 tilt amd trim issue HELP Please

I have a 97 mercy 150 , When I put the engine into reverse it fly?s up out of the water. I replaced the seals in the trim and it work up and down good , little slow on the trim down maybe air in system ?. if also changed the out MANUAL RELEASE ASSEMBLY, it had broken off but I did get it all way out , could I have messed something up ? I been all over the web looking for this issue hope someone can help me thanks

Maybe the manual release is not tightened all the way? PTT unit should be self-bleeding. Tilt it all the way up and let her set 5 min. Now refill and cycle it down and then up. Wait 5 min and refill. Repeat until all the air is out.
