I just bought a boat with a 1985 Mercury 75 hp outboard and need to know the proper way to adjust the idle for the best performance.
I have the manual but those sometimes leave out little important things. We just rebuild both carbs and replaced the plugs, it is running OK, but I still do not think it is running at its best.
We have to squeeze the ball now and then as is acts like is not getting gas unless we are running at top end, not sure if is the bulb and hose or the fuel pump.
It has to be at 1/4 throttle to start, even after it is warmed up.
