Manual describes a plastic locating pin some where on the crank. Anyone know where it is? Manual says will cause engine to run tight at low rpm, which is what the engine is doing. Does it need a power head overhaul? Otherwise runs good.

SELOC merc manual, Page 8-13/ "Good Words: If the engine shows evidence of having overheated, check condition of the plastic locating pins damaged pins will affect engine performance by poor idle and hard starting"

Im think they are talking about reed valve locating pins which a 1150 don't even have, thats why everyone says use a OEM manual

Question? Engine sounds and run good then starts to fade. The rpm drops and gives the impression something is getting tight. Fuel pump have been overhauled and carbs gone through. Good compression on all cylinders. Trigger has been replaced. Thought one of the mains or rod bearings going but rollers seem to rule that out. Any ideas.
