1996 Mercury 175

Where can I get a manual for my outboard? We were out and the engine temp alarm went off and I think my water pump got hosed and I am worried that the temp sensor went bad and need to know where to look for it.

How To: Outboard Engine Serial Number Year Match, iboats.com How To Library

The engine serial number is located on the lower
starboard side of the engine block. A serial number
is also located on the starboard side of the swivel
bracket. It will be a disc like this:

If the serial number I found is correct then this is a 1986 not 1996 175hp.
