2001 Mercury Tracker Pro 115hp 2 stroke fuel problem.

Engine has been sitting for about 6 months.
New fuel filters and new gas.
Fuel is coming from a 5 gallon container pressurized by the pumper bulb.
If I use starting fluid it starts and continues to run good, both hi and low rpm. When I stop and try to start it just turns over. Once I spray it with starting fluid it starts and runs.

I am thinking maybe fuel pump. Runs good once you start it and even idles smooth so I'm not thinking carbs but not sure.

Pull the tube out of it that goes into the carb. Press the choke on with the engine running it should shoot a shot of fuel out.
Or with engine not running and bulb primed press the choke on it should shoot a shot of fuel out

Forgive a newbie but where is the choke on this motor?
I see the enricher valve on the fuel pump spec but that's all I have found.

You can also test by...starting engine after a minute or so of warmup with engine at idle, push in the choke...the motor should slow down and stall from additional fuel

called a choke often but really not a choke. I think it just adds extra fuel.

Are you turning the key in
(pushing it in) to activate the enricher valve

do you prime the primer bulb each time you start.after that do you push the ign key in while trying to start, that is the enricher.i start my 115 i4 by squeezing primer bulb till hard, turn key to start and pushing key in.when it fires, raise warm up lever.if it is really cold tap the key in a few times when it is about to stall.

I will try the choke tonight but where is the warm up lever? I have a lot to learn about the motor.
I ordered the Clymer book for it.
