1986 Mercury Blackmaxx XR2 150hp Fuel Filter

Good Morning,

I've been searching the endless reaches of the internet trying to find an exact match for a replacement fuel filter for a '86 Mercury Blackmaxx XR2 150 (S/N# A957649). The part may be obsolete so wanted the opinion on a good fuel filter to purchase.

The current filter looks 26 years old and appears to be "factory" judging by the clean installation. Picture is attached. The tube is 1 inch so I'm assuming the inner tube is 1/2 inch. Purchased this boat used last October and trying to get it up to PAR. Engine does run well - little sluggish at takeoff (unless you give her a little throttle) but wines out like a champ.

See filter as item 59 under FUEL PUMP AND CARBURETOR (OLD DESIGN FUEL PUMP) or

item 39 under FUEL PUMP AND CARBURETOR (SQUARE FUEL PUMP), though they are both the same p/n.
