Hello
Are there any problems with the 1997 200 HP 3.0 mercury DFI motors that I should know? I do not see many around and parts may hard to come by. I have been looking for a replacement motor and I came across one/ It has 250 hours on it an rebuilt fuel pump and new coils. it was running rough and that was the repair ,although never put back it service since .the motor has good compression as per the marina,. the motor ha been in storage about 1 year or so ,and the price is 1500, I have heard the motors of that year were nothing but trouble but the price is right,Has any one been running these motors on there boats and have any opinion on them and past history should I just stay away and look elsewhere thanks Jd
