Mercury 115 hp 2 stroke in line 6 prop horsepower rating

Hi I have read that outboard horse power rating changed from the crankshaft to the prop in about the mid 80's. I also have herd that Mercury rated at the prop prior to the mid 80's. Can anyone tell me the first year that the mercury rated the 115 hp incline 6 was rated at the prop?

Was told in service school 1983 all inlines were rated at prop, some models may have been a year or two earlier or later....

The 1981 140 changed stickers and became the 1982 115. '82 was the pivotal year.

Both had less compression and less HP than the earlier 150's. Figure 125 ish prop rated HP for the old 150's. Only so much you can do with 99 cubic inches and 1950's technology.
