Anyone got any idea what wiring loom should I have for my 2002 225 Opti SC1000 Smartcraft gauges?IThe original wiring was a complete mess and all that's identifiable is part numbers 84-859314 and 84-859315. It appears to plug into a 5 pin semi-circular rubber plug into the main wiring harness.

I get the feeling I may be missing a large chunk of the loom-I thought there was supposed to be a separate loom from the outboard to the gauges?

Could you post a pic? I'm familiar with smart craft systems but not part numbers.

Thanks-This is the loom I currently have. (also if it's familiar, does the positive lead (the red) need to be on a live from the ignition switch?)

Since your engine may have been set up for digital from new, did you at one time have smartcraft in the past? or are you going from analog gauges to digital smartcraft?

This is about all i could find info wise for the moment, hope it helps a little.

Thanks :)

I have no idea how it was set up from new-I'm in the middle of refurbishing the entire boat as the orginal builder made such an unholy foulup of the wiring and general fitout that I had to rip everything out and start again.
The whole boat had been wired with household hoover flex and it hadn't even been done with the positive and negatives the same colours throughout the boat...

However, when I took the boat apart, this was all that was connected to the gauges and the digital portions of both gauges was working.
