I need help either finding my fuel filter, or advise on if I should install one. As mentioned in the title, I have an '85 9.8 hp outboard that is new to me as of last summer. I am doing some winter maintenance and don't see a fuel filter. From the manual I bought online (not great picture quality), it looks like it has the fuel pump (blue cap) built into the carb. See pics below. Of course, I am also missing some things (like the stop button) so I am not sure if this is something else. Before you ask, since I don't have a stop button (just a hole where it should be) I just put it in neutral and it stops (apparently when the guy before me replaced the impeller, he did not line things up properly.
