1988 135 HP mercury no spark in cylinder 2 and 5

i need a bit of assistance... i just replaced both my CDI units and on my motor i am not getting spark on cylinders 2 and 5. i tested all the leads coming from my trigger plate to the CDI and read good. i dont however have a peak tester to test my CDI to the coils but i did swap coils around to atleast narrow down a bit. if you have any thoughts please help.


also i did read upwards of almost 16v coming off my stator, dont know if that would affect my 2 no sparks.

2 and 5 are a pair off the trigger, sound like you got a bad trigger.Below is testing link.

like i said already checked the trigger, getting good voltage out of it. but thank you for the troubleshooting guide, will be helpful. who knows i may have missed something.
