Mariner 135 HP - 1997 - V6

I want to repaint the lower unit of my engine. I painted it last year. Sanded, primerd, painted and clearcoated but it did not hold up. The paint was stripped off at high speeds. I have the original paint # 92-802878-Q10. Any ideas as to the best way to repaint without having the paint strip off again?

Mine also needs a going over,as some areas are down to metal.Try asking the guys in the restoration/building section as they are the paint experts.

Before priming wipe down with a very wet acetone rag, air dry, prime with the green zinc oxide primer that is compatible with the factory paint.
