Are the 2000 Mercury 150 HP XR6 motors reliable or boat anchors????

I am looking at a Bass Boat with a 2000 Mercury XR6 150. Hasn't run much in the last few years but seems to run well. Are there any problems that are unique to this motor? I have read about oil pump failure with these engines. Any other inherent issues? Thanks in advance!

They are good engines,oil pump failures were more 80's-90s years due to different oil gear design. More problems with oil module than gear/pump.
